It's most likely pretty apparent that I love photography. I also enjoy writing. I don't enjoy math, but here's an equation to sum (pun intended!) it all up anyways:
Blog (Writing) + Portfolio (Photography) = Blogfolio*
As much as I love taking pictures and the actual photos themselves, I also love the stories behind the pictures. As cliche as it sounds, a picture really
is worth a thousand words.
Plus, I know I appreciate knowing the "insider story" of a picture, whether its the daring way someone took a photo or the funny thing that happened at the photo session, so I'm hoping someone else will appreciate this as well.

I love fall weather! Unfortunately, here in muggy ol' Georgia, we don't get to experience much actual autumn weather. The weather here typically goes from hot to hotter to miserably-hot to not-quite-as-hot to cold to colder, and then it just starts all over again. So if we do have any days with crisp, cool, but not super cold, weather, I fully enjoy them. On the bright side, we do get to experience some of the beautiful fall colors of the season. It's so pretty once the leaves begin changing from green to red, orange, and gold. I especially like when the first few trees begin changing while the rest are still covered in green. The contrast of colors makes for an excellent photo opportunity. These are some shots I got in the woods around my parents' house when the leaves first started changing. You'll notice in the red leaves pictures you can still see the vivid green in the background from all of the other trees that have yet to "autumnize".
